Dragons feature in stories from all around the world, and the way they are portrayed changes in different places. For example dragons from European legends tend to be winged, and may have no legs, two, four or more! However, Chinese dragons are portrayed as long, snake-like creatures. Yet, dragons from across the world are commonly described as having powers such as breathing fire or being poisonous. They generally hatch from eggs and have either scaly or feathered bodies.
