Let's practise

Both tennis and badminton are racket sports enjoyed by adults and children all over the world. They are both fun to play but they are also quite different. The most obvious similarity is that both sports make use of a racket, though a tennis racket is much heavier and the strings are much stronger than a badminton racket. Both games make use of a net. However, a badminton net is set at 5 feet, much higher than a tennis net. So what do you hit over the nets? Well, a tennis ball, much heavier than a shuttle used in badminton, is used in high-powered games of tennis. A shuttle is a small, lightweight object which can be projected at height over the badminton net. The badminton court is therefore smaller than a tennis court, as a shuttle cannot be projected as far as a tennis ball. Both games can be played by male and female competitors in singles and doubles games.
