It is asking you to match the equipment with its correct use.
Let's practise
Choose your kit carefully. You will need a strong tent, warm sleeping bag and a mat for camping. You should include tools such as a snow shovel, and a signalling kit in case you get into difficulties due to bad weather. A lightweight rucksack is a good idea. You may be travelling over long distances and hilly slopes. Travel games will come in handy if bad weather keeps you in your tent! Ski poles and skis are essential to scale icy slopes. Wearing the right clothing can make the difference between life and death in polar regions. Wearing lots of layers is the key to keeping warm.
Don't skimp on quality when it comes to essentials for a polar trip. Your kit needs to be tough to withstand the harshest conditions on Earth!

- Read the question. Read it again. What is it asking?
- Read each item in the list then find the first one in the text.
The rucksack is in the middle of the text. It says it is a good idea.
- If you think the choices don't include this answer, continue with the others. Can you match them?
Travel games says ‘handy if bad weather keeps you in your tent' which must mean you will have something to do. To keep you occupied matches travel games.
- Continue to read and try to match the other choices. The language used may be slightly different to that in the text.
I can match ski poles to climbing hills and signalling kit for bad weather. This leaves me with the two choices of which I was unsure but can now match.
