You need to:
know odd and even numbers
recall and use multiplication facts for the 10, 2 and 5 multiplication tables and use the appropriate signs (× and =).
- Multiplication can be done in any order: 2 × 3 = 3 × 2.
- Even numbers can be shared equally between two but odd numbers can't.
- Even numbers are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 …
- Odd numbers are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 …
